The first "Flagship" event to be organised by the Parish Hall Management Committee, to celebrate the refurbishment of the Parish Hall, is to be "More Corks a Poppin" on Saturday 24th October 2009, at 7.30pm.
This fun evening was first held last March, organised by the Rowlands Castle Association, under the stewardship of Alan and Cathy Craggs. It was a great success, and everyone who came from within and outside the village had a great time. Feedback such as:_ "Great Night out, when is the next event going to be arranged", and "Best Night out I have had for ages" was heard as people left the Hall that night.
The "More Corks a Poppin" will be a rerun of the original night, with 3 new Judges helping out, so it is expected to be even more fun than the first one! Fifteen tables of 8 teams will compete against one another to decide which of the 3 judges gave the correct description of the wine you will be tasting, (as with Call my Bluff), with 8 different wines to be sampled during the evening.
For the ticket price of £15.00 each you will be fed on the best cheeses and pate and french bread that is being supplied by Chris Young of Castle Stores, along with the wines to be sampled.
All profits made are to be ploughed back into the Parish Hall refurbishment project, so please do come along and enjoy a fantastic night out. Having been heavily involved in the first event, I have been asked to oversee the finances of this event, which I am only too pleased to do.
Tickets, as a block of 8, or sold individually, are selling fast from Castle Stores, or by contacting Alan Craggs direct on 92412866. We look forward to seeing you there on the night.
